Lunch and Learn
This past weekend, the Bushwackers Archery Club hosted its first-ever Lunch and Learn, bringing together club members, new faces, and curious visitors for a fun and informative day. With hands-on learning, great conversations, and plenty of opportunities to dive into the world of archery, the event was a great success.
Guests explored a variety of interactive info booths covering everything from recurve and compound bows to tournament tips, safety rules, and archery tours. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or just starting out, there was something for everyone to discover.
A special highlight of the day was guest speaker Jason Misaki, Wildlife Manager with DLNR-DOFAW, who gave an eye-opening talk on hunting regulations for Oʻahu. His insight into bowhunting as a sustainable and cultural way of life in Hawaiʻi deepened our community's connection to the land.
President Willie and the Asato ‘ohana kept everyone fueled with a tasty lunch, and the day wrapped up with prize giveaways—including a free family membership and both keiki and adult archery lessons. We even welcomed two new members to the Bushwackers ‘ohana!
Huge mahalo to all our volunteers and club members who made this day possible. This is just the beginning—stay tuned for more events coming soon. Aim high, shoot straight, and we’ll see you on the range!
